“One way you can start programs is by clicking on the program’s shortcut in the pinned items list or recently used programs list. The pinned items list appears at the top of the left panel of the Start menu, and the recently used list appears on the bottom left. You choose what programs you want on the pinned items list, while the recently used list is automatically updated for you.”
